It is viewed as paranormal phenomena with origin and application of electronics and physics. The term comes from psi ('psyche') and the -onics from electronics (machine). It is closely related to the field of radionics. Radionics is a system of alternative medicine based on the the idea that detectable electromagnetic radiation emitted by living matter can be interpreted diagnostically and transmitted to treat illness at a distance by complex electrical instruments. Their similarities are in the use of radio technology, but not the psyche aspects. Psionics is deeply enmeshed with the application of electronics using the psyche of the Personalty. In the past Psionics was thought to come from supernatural power. We know now that the supernatural powers are the powers of the Soul. Historically, all major religions allude to the access, and use of its powers during various rituals performed by Shaman, Rabbis, Priests, Sifus, Metaphysicians, and many others. Its use is similar to, but distinct from Arcane, and Divine magic. Modern Psionics is part of a broad category of fantastic abilities originating from the mind and projected on the physical plane that form a new reality. Modern Psionics represents the study of the practical use of psychic powers. The lack of the use of Psionics may have been the root cause of some of the species of primitive 'homo' demise. As without a conscious or an intuitive ability to "know" truth will cause the demise of any species. When Psionics is learned, directed, and controlled it is considered intelligent "engineering applied to the mind" to affect and cause change in matter. This manifests in one or more of abilities like Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Telekinesis, Psychometry, and many others.
