A Brief Recapitalization of The Tarot Cards
Well, we are back. It’s been a while since we talked about the Language of the Soul through use of the Tarot cards. Just to recap let’s quickly go through the stages of the cards that represent major pivotal points with the Soul, and then by extension through the Personality.
In the beginning, There was the Fool, that is the original impulse within a person and their Soul to go o a particular journey. A fool doesn’t know why, only that they must begin something. They have a gentle urging, or it may be a burning desire, nonetheless, there is the impetus to move forward.
The Magician is the next stage, of the Personality joins with its Soul and they tune into all of the energies needed to optimize the success of their journey. Within this phase they find virtually whatever they desire as it seems to magically appear.
Next, they continue moving and as they journey on their experiences cause them to lose faith. It is then that they find the Priestess, who then opens their emotional body which renews their faith. They are further aided by the Empress who equilibrates the emotional energy and gives additional Soul resources. Next she teaches the individual to manage their mind, skills and resources. Once presented to the Emperor, he tests the person’s control and management of the skills developed and the use of the gifts and resources manifested.
Then the Hierophant comes through to initiate the individual into the mysteries, greater control, and understanding of the causal effects of their tools and the journey to this point.
The Lovers come thorough with the duality of deciding how to go forth. It is trying to balance both the masculine (control) with the feminine (reserve). Until the “right” balance is obtained, the Charot with its opposing forces, challenges the individual to discover the “right” nurturing direction. What will dominate?
Inner and outer Strength will be needed to bring intelligence into experience and then wisdom. Strength requires tuning out the external players, circumstances and forces, and the tuning into the inner light of the Soul through the experience of the Hermit.
When successful, a positive Change is evidenced by the Wheel card. It means that the Season has positively changed and what was hidden is now revealed. The person is moving forward.
Justice has the next role to play. Actions will be judged and energies will be appropropiated according to whether they represent positive Truth or Folly. You see that there is always meant to be growth. Involution is only performed by the highest fields of energy.
If the person has lost their path, then the Hanged Man results which forces them to create another perspective. It may mean extreme sacrifice which removes the superfluous and allows the person to see their values from another perspective. It also removes what they took that doesn’t belong to them.
And so we have a recap, of the first thirteen cards as the man with his personality, and his Soul goes forth to embark on their new adventure.
We Continue The Journey
On this second to last leg of the journey, we start with Death, card 13, which means a new beginning for most, bringing a new spirit, new creativity (children) into the life. Rarely does it mean physical death, and if it does mean physical death, it is the passing from one state of energy into the next. It is the movement from the Physical Plane into the Astral Plane. It is using the fields generated from the past as a foundation to the current circumstances and “living” in this state. This is a period of fixation, and/or being stuck.
If you are stuck, then you are being tempered. You may have had a new spark of energy, a new beginning and so you must quickly learn how to temper that Spirit, creative child, or field of energy. We can use temperance energy to restrict ourselves. It is a good time to make intigent donations to charity.
Remember, always give to the cause which you want to grow, like watering flowers that you want more of, and not watering the weeds. We pull the weeds, and nurture that which we want to flourish, else we end up with the pain of more weeds. Thus, goes card 14, Temperance.
If we have chosen our tool, associations, and cultivated great skills and gifts, then all is well. We are then bound by goodness, which is our Daemon. (The Ancient Greek word δαίμων daemon denotes a spirit or divine power, much like the Latin genius or numen. Daimōn comes from the Greek verb daiesthai (to divide, distribute) and does not carry the negative connotation.)
However, if we cultivated the opposite or negative spirit, or we actually died in the Death card, where our Temperance was atoning for the past wrongdoings that we cultivated in life, then the Devil Card, number 15, means your slavery to the forces that you compelled and enslaved to do your wrong, unwise proposals and purposes. You are then bound by your own emotional chains, those forged physically, astrally, and mentally by you.
Regardless of whether you are bound by goodness or slavery, when the Tower card, 16 arrives, it is like a bolt of lightening strikes. It is an electrical discharge caused by imbalances between storm clouds and the ground, or within the clouds. Therefore, within the human being during The Tower, is the baance between what is practical and grounded and the emotional crystals, and water, through the phenomena of static electricity. Woe to those who have built structures out of the pain and suffering of the world.
And so that concludes this second to last leg of our understanding of the Tarot and the Language of the Soul. Until next time remember, the Soul of life, which includes your Soul, is always communicating to you in its own language. To understand it, we need only learn symbolistic systems. Tarot is one of the Primary Languages.
Next is the final five Tarot Cards. See you then.
Thank you for reading.
