Understanding Non Reality Is Very Important
Introduction
ψ A couple days ago, we talked about reality. We stated that there are a couple of ways of determining reality, and mentioned ontology as the study that defines and characterizes the states of being Real. If you haven’t read it, you may find it here. ( https://www.psioniccircles.com/stage/what-is-reality-briefly/
Today, we will discuss its antithesis, non-reality, which is defined as:
- The quality of not being real.
- A place, situation, etc. that is not reality.
Non-Reality is viewed then as the opposite of reality, represents things that can be proven not to be real, or are very likely not to be real due to a lack of evidence in favor of their existence. The tool of measurement is the Concept of the Scientific Inquiry, and the use of Empirical Evidence. The Concept of Scientific Inquiry aims to obtain knowledge in the form of testable experiments leading to explanations that others can use to predict the results of future experiments. This allows one to gain a better understanding of the topic studied and can be used later to understand causal mechanisms. A causal mechanical example is the motion of reading from the letter A forward which naturally causes the letter B to follow in logical sequence, and it is then followed by the letter C. Everyone who reads the letters of the alphabet from the letter A to C, find that B follows A, and C follows B. Thus, this is a fact and is real based upon empirical evidence.
When an explanation is accurate and can be vied as facts and factual, then it can be used for making predictions, and perfect decision-making. Without scientific inquiry, there is no clear evidence that the postulated explanation or “fact” is true, and real. Thus, it must be nonreality. In Psionics, we teach you about non realty of which there are 14 types. They are the following:
fantasy
delusion
illusion
fairyland
irreality
fiction
imagination
hypnosis
unreality
phantasy
dishonesty
lie
failure
forfeit.
Each of these words describes a state of unreality which has grades and levels of non-materiality and non-realness. It is important to make these distinctions as they assist the person in working at the various layers and levels of life and the various levels in nature. The individual may use this information to secure protection for themselves and their family. He or she may be able to weigh the variety of phenomena that presents itself to the individual and learn to know truth and falsity. (Practical terms*)
Empirical evidence means the information is either “facts” or “fiction”. The more empirical the facts, the greater frequently of consistency. Thus, the greater the probability that it will continue to explain the “truth” of the phenomena as partly false, or totally false.
The most successful explanations are those which explain and make accurate predictions in a wide range of circumstances and yield absolute reality. Once you have collected a body of data which gives you the tendencies and propensities, then you can call the information a theory. As a theory, the number of like experiences that are true/real and not someone’s smaller ego playing tricks on the person, desiring attention, so then the theory can potentially work its way to absolute fact and dictate itself to be a law.
Examples of unreality posing as reality are found in the fields of religion, metaphysics, and supernatural superstitions. Our senses perceive and allow us experience based upon a reflection of our mental and emotional states. A person that has a healthy body, and mind will tend to have less psychosis, neurosis, sociopathy, and miasmas. All of which cloud the individual’s mental and energetic framework. The clouds skew the individual’s judgement which makes them believe that things exist and imagine things that do not exist. They may do this deliberately to cheat others of inner peace and harmony, or to appear superior. Or they may be innocently believing false evidence appearing real.
As was mentioned religion, metaphysics, and supernatural superstitions are key sources of one’s mental creations. These are found embedded in one’s consciousness, or as implants to their subconscious mind, external suggestions placed within their mind by television, radio, or through the ‘word of mouth’ of another person.
The answer is that people who are on similar paths tend to have shared experiences. An example is found in people who are psychic. They would tend to have higher level shared experiences that are quantified and then normalized by others who operate on the same plane of consciousness. More about the planes and dimensions in another articles. A great example can be seen in the members of the Arcane Society. They have classically trained their students in the ancient mysteries, and as such, all those who are at a particular initiation will see, hear, and feel the same perceptions. During their training, the teacher would ask each student what they see, or feel, and each of the students who could be in different locations would have the same answers. There may be slight variances. But, for all intents of purpose, the answers were similar, or absolutely the same.
Unreality Continued
Unreality can be thought as all the thoughts and feelings that have not become tangible or crystalized in materiality and are not consistently experienced therefore, there is no empirical evidence of existence and hence reality. In other words, your intangible experiences and beliefs may be viewed as not actually existing as reality. Again, you may ask, can people have experiences that is real to them that isn’t shared by others, or at least others that are on the same, or similar evolutional path’? Yes and No. Honesty is a key. A story comes to mind. The Emperor’s New Clothes authored by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837. You may remember that in the story some swindlers posing as tailors pretended to have the world’s finest thread and fabric. So fine was their fabric that only the most evolved and intelligent people could see it. When they presented the garment to the King, he couldn’t see it, but was too embarrassed to admit it, so he lied and said that he loved it, and eagerly place on his body the invisible garment that really didn’t exist. When he went out in public to be seen in his new garments, all of the town’s people pretended to see the garment, which of course didn’t exist, so that they would be thought of as evolved and intelligent. There was only a small boy who was brave enough to tell the King and the people that the King was completely Nude and there was no clothing on his body. Much to the King and town’s people further. embarrassment.
So, the lesson in our study is that people may allow themselves to be deceived and will lie about the truth of something if they feel that they will experience further embarrassment for not knowing something or perceiving something. You can dupe yourself into believing an experience is true. Therefore again, what you believe you experience may not actually exist, or it may.
How Non-reality Becomes Reality
If I am an architect, and I am commissioned to draw the blueprints of a home. It is deemed non-real in the physical and a level of real in another dimension, the dimension of the mind. Once it has been drawn on paper, it is non converted into the second dimension and is real in that dimension but only partially real in the physical dimension. It is partially real because everyone can see what it will look like, but it is not there yet. If the Architect has the right funding, and construction company to make it physical then it will exist in the mind, in two dimensions, and on the physical plane.
Therefore, it meets the criteria for existence versus unreality, on two dimensions. Once the home has been built, then the image reflects a real structure and is in physicality. It passes the empirical test. The non-reality (idea) has been transformed into the real.
Non-Reality in the Movies
Let us touch briefly on the idea of creativity from the intangible mind to the movie screen. The history of storytelling and breathing life into creative ideas is as old as man himself. The early Troglodytes created images on the walls of caves to depict their life experiences including their adventures in hunting. These images are from the Ice Age or Early Paleolithic era which occurred between 40,000 to 14,000 years ago. The themes of their creations are symbolic representations of the real and imagined experiences of the creators. These action stills are the early movies of both experiences, thoughts and feelings of early man.
Modern movies depict the same themes as early man. The hero has an adventure to experience, and these forms the plot and storyline. The stories may be true, partly true, or completely imagined. The Iron Man movies along with Avengers depict the hero’s journey which leads either to the destruction of the individual, or his heroic win. The stories are non-real, and they exist in the minds of the viewers. Most people who view the movies agree that there is no real Iron Man except in one’s imagination.
Dr. Strange, Hulk, Highlander are other examples of the non-reality posing as real. However, it may be argued that there is or was a Thor, as his name is legendary as a God in the myths of the Northern Germanic people. The movie Thor is said to be a model of the myth for modern television. If you were to go to some parts of modern Germany, and speak to people, some would swear that he still exists. They may even say that the movie depiction is awfully close to the real Thor. Other people when asked if Thor exists, would nod politely. If you continued and say that you pray daily to his image and that he has responded by giving you a sign, or gift. They would still question your story and finding. They would probably want to test your theory for themselves. And if Thor responded, in a realistic way they would then agree with you that he is indeed real, alive, and well. Perhaps he was taking a bit of a sabbatical from Ragnarok. If they found no evidence for your experience when you left, they would twirl their fingers at their heads suggesting that you are crazy.
So, let us imagine that 100 people tested your theory and only two or three discovered it to be true. Would it be reality or non-reality? In our teaching it would be considered fantasy and non-reality. It is easy to delude a few people that something is real, however it is exceedingly difficult to create mass hypnosis/hysteria that is real. The very idea implies that there is a non-real element to the experience/experiment. If however, 98 out of the 100 people had the same experience and they were actually honest, and not embarrassed to be called “unevolved” then you have empirical evidence.
Non-Reality in Dreams
The question can be asked about non-reality and dreaming. Are dreams non-reality? We believe they are real and unreal. When one awakes from an especially deep dream, one generally feels, that the dream was so real. During the dream and upon awaking one cannot decide whether it is real of not. We may have experienced during the dream, we were performing an action, like moving our hands and feet, and we awake to our arms flailing or ourselves screaming like we did in the dream, was it real or fantasy. It is our contention that you were experiencing a life that is equally as real, but in another dimension. A dimension we call the Astral Plane, or it has also been called the Emotional Plane. In this plane a part of you that caused your limbs to move in your dream was the Astral Body of your ‘other’ mind. It is a reality of consciousness, using two vehicles at the same time. You awoke and caught yourself using your other body and the dream was located another Plane. This plane is just as real as your waking reality and as important to your Soul and Spirit as your physical body is to you living on planet Earth.
Regarding this plane, most indigenous cultures teach their people about this plane. It is some of the Western Cultures that have tabooed the understanding and practice of using this plane and that body. There are particularly good reasons for this, and we won’t go into it in this article, but suffice to say that we go into it fully in the Psionic Course.
In Summary
Non-reality is an existence that is nontangible and inclined to be imagined. The test of reality is using the empirical method and the Concept of Scientific Inquiry where the information must be tested by many people to assure that the data leading the experience is repeatable by many people who use the same method. It is then through of as Real and if there is a backed by a principle it could then be seen as a law. A principle that is consistent can be used to base decisions and used to protect oneself. Iron Man and Highlander are examples of movies that seem to come to life and their ideals and principles almost feel real.
The Emperor’s New Clothes is a fictional example of how people can be pressured into believing something that is a lie and not true. And sometimes people watch movies that appear real when it is only reality in the minds of the storyteller and actors.
Dreams are occasions where the lines of reality and non-reality blur. This is because there is a part of every human being that dreams and when they dream their astral body travels through its dimension and the conscious mind catches its movement which can move the physical body.
